Lidia Grande-Ruiz is a visual editor from Los Angeles with experience across various mediums of visual storytelling. She recently interned in the White House Photo Office & with the National Park Service through the Latino Heritage Internship Program.

Being a visual editor has allowed her to communicate her passions. She believes that through the power of imagery, we can all better understand our communities. Having taken a marine biology class during high school led to Heal the Bay Aquarium which later helped her land a Digital Advocacy Intern position. This experience gave her clarity.

Her passion has taken her to work with Oceanic Preservation Society and the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA). She worked as a producer for a documentary titled ‘Breaking Through’ through Believe Limited. The student short film ‘Not A Hero’ has premiered in local festivals showcasing her editing, cinematography, and design skills. Her long-term goal is to incorporate her media skills within the National Parks as a way to inspire the next generation.
